ah smith's. if you weren't so far away from me i would constantly be chomping on your supreme nachos, kicking back jack and cokes and enjoying brilliant local (and beyond) music. but it takes me more than 15 minutes to get there, so therefore it is outside of my normal realm, though i do still catch a good amount of great music there.
anyway, my point of this post is that the venerable music venue has introduced a weekly event called the "recession sessions." here's what the awesome brittany (who manages pr for the bar) had to say:
Every Tuesday we will spin the latest tracks from 5 of the hottest local bands over the PA in the main bar! There is half price food, $2PBR, $2 Jager, and $4 24oz. Red Stripes! Come on down and booze on a budget at out Recession Sessions!
and don't forget they also have amazing bbq at smith's. so that's local music, cheap food, cheap booze... what's keeping you? go drown your broke-ass sorrows with some fun stuff.
